32CSM Conclude Anti Lisbon Campaign

The 32 County Sovereignty Movement approached the Lisbon Treaty Campaign on a twofold basis; a vehicle to highlight the violation of our national sovereignty and a mechanism to put into practice our strongly held view that republican unity can impact on the political status quo if republican groups can come together on a democratic basis to pursue republican objectives.

We outlined a separatist perspective of the Lisbon Treaty. We highlighted the disparity between concerns over loss of sovereignty to Brussels and a lack of concern over the continued violation of our sovereignty by London. We sought Republican Unity on Lisbon primarily on the basis that Republican Unity is necessary after Lisbon. We also went to the Irish people.

The 32CSM distributed 100,000 Anti Lisbon Leaflets throughout Ireland on the weekend before the June 12th Poll in the Twenty Six Counties.
